Why does she wake up!?

Every single night I put my daughter (she's 2 months old) in her bassinet, after she's eaten and changed and ASLEEP. every single night she wakes up about 5 minute after I put her down and just cries. Why won't she stay asleep? Am I doing something wrong?? Does anyone have similar experiences? Thanks!!

It's amazing how newborns sleep so good. As long as they are being held. No it's nothing you are doing wrong. Your baby is going through the 4th trimester. Your baby’s fourth trimester starts from the moment she’s born and lasts until she is three months old. The term is used to describe a period of great change and development in your newborn, as she adjusts to her new world outside your womb.
It smells different, it feels different, it sounds different and it's all very overwhelming for baby. Being held provides her the comfort she needs right now. It's why most of us started bed sharing even though we weren't planning to. They are usually content to lay beside us if we aren't holding them. Look up safe bed sharif methods if you want to do it.
Or sleep in shifts with your dh, that's what we did the first couple of weeks.

Startle reflex. Is she being swaddled? She's so used to your right know womb, being open in the bassinet like that is new and scary to her. See if she likes being swaddled super tight or look into those infant bumper things they have, normally used in the nicu to mimic the womb.
