Unplanned pregnancy

My son was an unplanned pregnancy. I was very adamant that i didn't want children in the year before we conceived him. I just didn't use a reliable form of birth control.

I was wondering for all of you who know you were unplanned, has that knowledge affected you in any way?

I only ask because when my son gets much older, is it a big deal for kids to find out about it? Or should I just pretend he was planned and stop telling people he wasn't so he never finds out. My husband and I were happily married for 4 years before conceiving.
