Does your husband ask how you are

I am not sure where to turn so here I am on a discussion board reaching to strangers again. I've been awake 20 min and I'm already crying. I cried myself to sleep last night. I'm 18 weeks pregnant and all I want to do is sleep and cry. I have a 1 year old son and I'm only holding it together for him. I have a loving husband, 6 siblings, 2 semi friends, a large family but I'm soooo alone. My husband knows I cry all the time but never asks why or what's wrong. I need someone to care. I feel like it would all get better if someone just cared. Even my midwife doesn't ask how I am emotionally and I just don't know where to start. I need help. I am worried for my babies having a mama that just cries. I'm just alone.

Please schedule an appointment with a therapist asap. You need someone to speak to. And unfortunately, mental health is so overlooked even by medical professionals. I feel your pain on this. ❤

Is there something bothering you specifically, that makes you cry? Are you having a rough pregnancy? 
Men aren't always the greatest at reading our minds. Maybe just tell your husband you need to talk, you need him to ask how your doing more often.

Just be open and honest with your doctor... its so hard saying the words "I'm depressed" out loud but when you see how relieved your doc will be that you told them and you hear "let's get you to feeling better" a lot of weight and anxiety is lifted. I am a mama of 5 pregnant with number 6. I have struggled with depression my whole life but motherhood brought on things I could never imagine. And its okay to not be okay and not know why... just dont get stuck there. Seek help. Be open and raw about what you are going through with your loved ones so they can understand. You may come to find some are battling or have battled with the same things. sending love your way from Idaho

My husband can be fairly oblivious at times, but not at all because he doesn't care or what to know what's going on. I'm sure yours is at a loss as well, but doesn't mean to be neglectful.
From experience, this sounds like depression and anxiety. With the two, it's easy to get overwhelmed; to overthink; feel smothered by responsibility and feel completely alone. You can go one moment being rational, and spend the next in tears over nothing and everything all at once. You may know what's wrong in that moment, or you may not have a clue! Everything and nothing can be overbearing all at once. It's hard to talk about, because god, where do you begin?-what's the cause? What IS wrong; and god, what isn't?! 
The good news is that there ARE medications approved for pregnancy/breastfeeding. Now, if you're like me, being "reliant" on medication will feel like a burden... it may be more saddening to think of at first. You may want to be strong and do it all on your own, but trust me, there's NO shame in taking something that could make you feel like a new person! Anything that helps lift some of that despair will feel like a miracle, I assure you. Pair that with learning what your triggers are and how to discuss them with your husband (family, friends, etc) and you'll be absolutely amazed at seeing the woman you truly are as opposed to the bundle of sadness you see yourself as. (This can be done with therapy, or merely while taking medication and learning on your own- whatever works best for YOU.)

I've learned long ago just to come out and sit my husband down to talk when I'm upset about something. Moping around and being upset waiting for him to reach out is a waste of both of our time lol He responds well when I tell him what's happening and usually does everything in his power to change the situation.

Talk to your midwife and she can help you find someone to talk to. When I had depression issues my midwife gave me the number and address of a counseling center in my town.

Every day. I get a text around 9:30 and he asks how I am and how the kids are every single day. Then on his lunch break he texts me again to check in. If he is home and he sees me look different, like laying my face down on the table he knows I have a headache. The cool, smooth, wood eases my headaches lol. But if I don't look my usual self he checks on me. If I look sick he checks my temperature and gets me medicine if I need it.
