Confused.. did I not ovulate?

Okay, so I have been tracking my cycle and got peak fertility on the clearblue advanced opk on July 30th. I then started spotting on August 4th. The next day, I had heavy bleeding and have had spotting off and on since then. I tracked my bbt and it rose following supposed ovulation but then dropped big time this morning. Did I not ovulate and this was an anovulatory cycle? Can you not ovulate even if temps and opk coincide with ovulation? So confused and frustrated. :( Trying again after losing our daughter to a severe neural tube defect. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 😞
