Birth control reaction

I've tried many birth controls and every time I take it my period is non-stop. I started off with the patch, nuvaring, depo shot (which made me bleed for 3 months every single day) and pills. When I went to the doctor she says that birth control doesn't contribute to my bleeding, but yet when I stopped the birth controls my period did not only go back to normal I was no longer bleeding nonstop. It was over a year of hell.

Does someone know what that may have been?
