How long should it take ttc?

My partner and I have been TTC for a year now, and I am starting to get worried.

Is it normal to try for a year without getting pregnant? Is it time for me to start seeking out fertility testing for me and my partner? If so, do I go to my OBGYN for that?

If you're younger than 35 and haven't become pregnant after one year of unprotected sex, it's time to consult a fertility doctor. If you're age 35 or older, it's best to see a specialist after about six months of trying to conceive.
A woman’s fertility starts to gradually decline around age 27 and drops off dramatically after age 35. Women in their twenties have a 20 to 25 percent chance of pregnancy each month. At 30, the chance of becoming pregnant in a given month drops to around 15 percent and by 35, the likelihood is less than 10 percent in a given month.
Certain conditions can also affect fertility:
Pelvic inflammatory disease
Fibroids
Endometriosis
Polycystic ovary syndrome
Sexually transmitted infection such as chlamydia or gonorrhea
Blocked fallopian tubes from an infection, ectopic pregnancy, or previous surgery
Previous pelvic or abdominal surgery
Chronic illness such as diabetes, cancer, or thyroid disease

To answer your question, I would start with your gynecologist, they would do testing to make sure nothing is preventing you from conceiving.
