I totally believe in the hook effect.

Ok, so don't judge, but I am a seriel tester (not everyday). I found out I was pregnant about 2 weeks ago and I have been terrified of miscarriage because I have had several chemicals. I am afraid of the line going away. Well, it was going well and then yesterday they started getting lighter and that scared me. I read about the hook effect and once your levels get high enough the tests don't work as well and show up lighter. If you dilute with water, it should get darker. I tried it today and sure enough the diluted one was much darker (the picture doesn't do it justice). I feel much better and I promise I will quit testing. I hope we see that heartbeat at my appt next week. 😀🤰😉 ☆By the way I am due April 7th ☆
