When is the best time TTC??????

My husband and I have been trying to conceive since April with my brother in laws sperm and no luck. When is the best time to ttc??? I read sperm stays in for 3-5 days. Would it be good to inseminate 3 days before ovulation, a day before ovulation or on the exact day of ovulation???? Please help...... we are going to try the Stork method, but not sure when to inseminate?

Also what are the ratings of using the Stork. How successful it is???

What are the chances of conceiving on the first try???
