PCOS symptoms?

Question

My doctor thinks I might have PCOS because I've skipped my period every month for the past 4 months... Even if I take provera, I skip the next. I don't ovulate. Ladies, what were your PCOS symptoms? I'm feeling down from this news... I have  blood work and an ultrasound scheduled for next month if I don't get my period. Please tell me what symptoms you experienced/are still experiencing. TIA.

The only reason my Dr diagnosed me was because I kept getting shooting pains near my hips and a friend of mine who has endometriosis suggested I be seen because she thought it could be cysts bursting. Doc sent me in for an ultrasound (they did transvaginally and a belly one) they saw cysts on both ovaries, went back for another ultrasound 2 months later and they were gone. Apparently that was enough for her to diagnose me? I still kind question it, honestly but started taking the metformin anyways as we are TTC.

they knew I had PCOS as soon as they saw my "string of pearls" (about a dozen follicles waiting in each ovary for their "big day") lol. But what lead them to having a follicle study is how absent my period was. I didn't get my period until I was 16, and would get it maybe 2 or 3 times a year. after getting married, we really wanted to have kids but couldn't. so here we are with 2 kiddos, trying for #3 with the help of medication. up didn't have any other symptoms that you read about though! I'm very underweight and always have been, but don't have any skin tags or facial hair or anything like that. I DO suffer from depression though every once in awhile which I recently learned goes hand in hand with PCOS because if the imbalanced hormones.
