IUD experiences?

Hi all! I have been on the nuva ring for almost exactly a year, and was on the pill before that. With the pill I was extremely nauseous, and with the nuva ring I've had next to no sex drive. I'm looking into getting an IUD put in, potentially a 5year Mirena. What was/is your experience with an IUD or other forms of birth control?

For extra info, I am 23 years old living in Canada with a steady boyfriend. Kids are just not an option at the moment. :)
