Contracting chlamydia orally?

I've given head to the guy I've been seeing like three times. After the first two times, it was just normal. But after this last time, I woke up the next day and it hurt to swallow. It's now been three days since I gave him head last and my throat still hurts. I don't think he has any STDs, but I know I still should've waited until he was tested. Anyway. Could it be something like Chlamydia? He showed no signs of any STDs. Perfectly clean. No lesions or smell. Maybe I was just too harsh when deep throating? Also, is the procedure for testing for oral STDs different than a normal STD test? Thanks.
