Is my pill safe enough?

I know birth control can reduce the risk of pregnancy... but I have a silly question! I started my pill about 3 years ago and take it religiously... I've had a boyfriend for a few months now and we are starting to have sex (with condom) I'm worried that my pill isn't "strong enough to prevent pregnancy" because I got on it to help ease and regulate my period. Does it matter if I started them for period reason and now I need it for both period and pregnancy?

Nope you'll be fine! Even with a low dose pill. Just as long as you take them properly. I know I was nervous about it too when we stopped using condoms but I never had any issues at all. You'll probably never go back to condoms though once you're used to it bare haha

Don't worry you are completely covered! It is also very responsible of you to use a condom due to STDs. You are doing everything the way you should

You're totally fine. Using a condom is very healthy because it prevents you from getting STDS. If you take your pill "religiously" at the same time everyday, you're all set. It's always good to practice safe sex.
