Pumping to breastfeeding

Ash

My little guy has been in the NICU for 81 days (he was born 26weeks and 3 days). I have been pumping 7-9 times every single day, typically in a pump I get anywhere between 60ml to 220ml. In the last week or so we've started breast feeding, he wasn't getting a good latch so I've been using a nipple shield. He seems to be latched perfectly and sucking so good but when we do pre and post weights he's only getting between 1 and 10ml (I know that pre and post weights are not super accurate). I don't feel let down at all, and I typically have the pump on a higher setting, could this be making it difficult for him to get milk directly from me?

We are so close to being able to go home, I just want him to feed orally and get the feeding tube out of his nose
