My son has 1 pair of shoes and he didn't have any for the first year. He didn't need them.

We never needed shoes til he learned to walk at around 10 months, then after that we forever got his feet measured as they changed shape/width often. That's a pretty good buy though!

Baby shoes are kinda like when baby clothes has pockets.  They don't really need them.  Half the time they will be carried or in a stroller.

I use to buy my babies knitted booties that a woman made to look like shoes then got them cruiser shoes when they started holding onto furniture to move around
