too many Braxton hicks?

I'm 25w3d pregnant and I've been having Braxton hicks contractions for the last 2 weeks. They are not painful, but im worried they are happening too frequently. Last week at an appt, my doctor said it's fine as long as I don't have more than 4 per hour. So today, I've 21 contractions so far and some hours I've had 5 per hr. I called the office and they said don't worry unless I have more than 6 per hour. So I'm wondering why her story changed? This is my first pregnancy, and maybe I'm worrying for nothing, but i just wanted to see if anyone had any experience wth this. Thanks!
