Remove yourself from that situation. I fell in love with my ex guy best friend and the only way I could get over him was cutting him off completely and moving on with other people and here I am a few months later, he keeps trying to talk to me but I feel absolutely nothing towards him and don't care enough to even entertain him with a response.

Distance and no communication is honestly the best to get over someone like that. My first love was my ex best friend and let me tell you it sucked. We never dated officially but trying to get over him was hella’ hard. The only way I was able to move on was by not seeing him nor talking to him. And eventually I met my now bf (of 3 & 1/2 years) and it became easy to forget.
