Help please

Hi so I'm on the pill and had a normal period during my 7 placebo day pills. And then about 4 days after I started my new pack of pills I started bleeding again and cramping really badly way more than normal. I've been on my period for a week now and I'm not on the placebo pills currently. I didn't just start taking birth control I've been on it for almost 2.5 years. Should I be concerned or no? The bleeding is consistent with a normal period but the cramps have been significantly worse.
