Alprazolam?

My doctor just told me he was going to finally give me the xanax I need. He said ok I'll start you off slow. Alprazolam 0.25 wtf 
So now I have to wait for 14 days to see if these will do anything. I took two and now two more and nothing. What can I do? They aren't even stick shaped like the ones that help me.

Many doctors have to start you off on such a low dose to make sure your body reacts to it okay because psychoactive drugs can have many adverse side effects. They slowly increase it as you become more tolerant.

I would go slow, withdrawal is the absolute worst feeling in the world. 0.5 mg is standard, so taking 2 should be sufficient. if not try 3. try super hard not to take more than 1 times a week.

I have taken up to two sticks in any color and there's been times where I fall asleep blacked out (thank god for hubby🤗) or even two isn't enough. I had someone tell me the level of colors and and mg. But I didn't write I It down🤷🏻‍♀️ check online. Be carful cause I believe no matter the color they hit you differently.

they start you off slow for a reason. if you take too many too fast you could have bad results

That is a really low dose. My husband gets the 2mg ones (stick ones). Maybe your doctor is just being really cautious?
