So my spouse wanted his mom to be there for him on his birthday (she is notorious for missing his birthday, had even scheduled their first family therapy session on his birthday when we were teens- literally not realizing it was his birthday until I reminded her), but instead she went to visit his sister (her daughter) whom moved out of state- for two weeks. His birthday was the second day she was gone, she drove so it wasn't a plane ticket thing, it was simply a choice. She could have left a few days into her vacation instead, but she didn't. She then promised to do something for his birthday the next weekend she got back. Instead she bought him a present he can't use, two weeks late, instead of taking him out, or ordering it on time (didn't even wrap it). She's made two people at work (on their actual birthdays that she remembered) cakes, because she bakes well, but never bothered making her son one (we live with her temporarily so she's had the chance).

This weekend is the weekend she was supposed to take him out, but instead she's going to Havasu (she goes all the time), and is taking his teenage sister (who's also been before), when his sister was supposed to/planned to go with us and be the only other person to be at the gender scan and know what the baby is before everyone else (we've planned this for months). On top of it now his sister doesn't even care to stay, because she's a teenager and obviously wants to have fun and go with her girlfriend to Havasu to party.

All this Havasu news happens the same day my sister randomly moves to Idaho with her kids, and my SIL informs me she can't make the trip out for the baby shower, even though she promised (don't blame her for it, she just can't afford it).

I'm just angry and upset, and feel so alone if it weren't for my spouse. 😞😡
