How many words should a 15 month old be saying? My daughter can only say about 15 words and can't put any more then 2 words together.. she is a chatter box but mostly talks in her own little language and I have no idea what she's saying 😂

My daughter just turned 16 months and she can only say a couple words but babbles a lot in her own language.  I think she will all of a sudden start saying a lot more though

I googled this a while back and the average was 14 words at 15 months and 40!! at 16 months. It's crazy how fast their brains develop!

We just had our 15 month appointment and our pediatrician said she's happy at this age for them to say 3 words. Although my daughter is saying more than 30 and seems like she's picking up new ones every day.

My daughter says go (for dogs because I always shout at the dog to go lol), Lucie (the dogs name), sunshine (the cats name),  she can hum/babble 2 different songs , sign potty,  sign no more.... but doesn't associate me or my husband with momma / dadda 😂

Mine says nothing in discernible English. The doctor thinks it could be due to his recurring ear infections. We're well on our way to tubes at this rate... 🙁

My son is just starting to formulate words. Some that I can somewhat understand and most that I can't 🤦🏽‍♀️ but we're getting there!! ❤️
