Does weave help your hair growth or retain length?

so girls, I had a weave 4 days ago for the first time ever! I'm so excited it looks beautiful and natural but my goal is to help my hair growth and keep it away from heat and styling. (I can't believe how I don't have to spend 30 mns every morning trying to make my hair look descent) and I don't have to see my hair breaking everyday everytime I brush. so what's your experience with weaves? have it help your hair growth?

It definitely helps me retain length. I'm natural so I'm always having to twist and braid my hair at night and that causes me to get split ends from messing with it so much. But when I have weave, I can leave my ends alone and it gets longer.

I love weaves. I've been getting em for years but be careful the tightness of the braids can thin your edges. I recently got on the "wig train" because I'm transitioning and I love it . All I gotta do is throw it on, touch it up a bit and go 💁🏾

Yes it does help with growth if the person installed it correctly if not it can damage your hair but you always have to maintain your natural hair underneath it so it doesn't dry out
