Pitocin not working? 😭😭

Question

I've been at the hospital since 6am. Got started on pitocin at 8-8:30am. It's now 4pm.
I'm having contractions, but I'm not progressing as I should. I'm currently on level 17 about to be 18 and I don't feel like I'm anywhere near having our son. (My dr stops at level 20/level meaning the dose)
Hopefully when she comes back in, I will be dilated enough to break my water. That might be able to get things going.

Ladies! I ended up having him at 11:26pm 8/17/17. I dilated to a 3 and my dr broke my water! After that, everything fell into place. 3 pushes!

With my first, my water broke and they started me on pitocin after not progressing on my own and I'm sorry to say, that I was also on the highest dose and nada. I never got past 3cm and ended up with a csection after 21 hours

It can sometimes take a suuuuper long time to get things started with pitocin! I needed some pitocin in the hospital when I stopped progressing on my own at 4cm. I was on it for 8 hours before I showed any progress. And when I did show progress, I went from 4cm to 9cm within 45 minutes! I know it can take a lot longer sometimes if you don't have much progress already, but Hang in there and don't lose hope ❤️ sending prayers and positive vibes for things to speed up a bit and for a happy and healthy delivery and baby!
