PCOS and Clomid question

I have PCOS so I'm on metformin. I took my first cycle of Clomid on CD3-7. Now on CD14 and have been getting negative OPKs so far. I've read somewhere that OPKs are not reliable when you have PCOS. Any thoughts or suggestions? TTC #1
