what did you do for your baby's 1 birthday?

I wanted to do a nice little tea party at home but my house is way too small. what shall i do?

You could rent a venue! We were thinking the upstairs of a nice restaurant or country club (ours is not overly priced) for 1st birthday because we simply do not have the space! I wish we did, I'd rather host it ourselves 😩

Tea party sounds fun, we live kinda far from everyone in our family so it was just grandparents who came and I decorated her high chair and had balloons and cake - it was perfect. Small, not overwhelming, no huge cleanup and she really enjoyed just walking around to everyone and playing with empty boxes. 😍

My daughter turns 1 next month. We're just having a really small party over at my in law's. Her actual birthday is on a Monday so we're doing it a day earlier (but I did take off that Monday so we'll probably do a mommy and daughter day). We're getting a cake but my mom and MIL will be cooking. It'll just be my parents, grandma, my in laws, my SIL's boyfriend and my husband's two aunts (they're the only extended family invited because he's like a son to them).
The following weekend though, we're going on our first family overnight trip to a city right by the ocean that's about a 2 hour drive from us. We're taking her to this very well known Aquarium and will be hitting the beach boardwalk coming back up the next day. 
When she turns 2 we'll probably do something bigger.

My sons was supposed to be at the park but it was storming so we moved it to our church. We did something relatively small. The guest list was family, close family friends, and close friends with kids

We had our daughters first bday party at the park across the street. It was nice the kids could play on the equipment and adults could mingle.
We are doing the same for her 2 bday next month but this time
It's a carnival theme and we are bringing s bouncy castle and everything carnival themed!

My son's is next month and we basically are planning a cook out. If the weathers bad we'll move it inside even though our house is a bit small.
Basically going to do food, presents then give my lil bee his cake and everyone else theirs :) a few Mickey Mouse decorations as that's the theme.
I also plan to get a bubble machine for the other little kids who come and for my son since he's walking and will get a kick out of it!
