Babies and Telly

So I saw a video of a mom who made a video of what her day is with her 3 month old baby. She would put the baby in front of the Telly and her laptop. No she wasn't ignoring her baby while doing so, she was still interacting and talking to her baby. In the comment section everyone was like "poor baby, putting her in front of the Telly like that" or "your a bad mom u should know ur not suppose to put babies in from the the Telly that young " and "no wonder why the new generations come out dumber and dumber. The idiot box" . I was curious what some of you're guys opinion on this. My baby is 3 months. He does like staring at the tv but not long enough for even 3 minutes. He not really interested in tv or laptop screens for too long.
