Hook ups

So I was in a relationship for 3 years and it ended recently. Now that I'm single I'm looking to just mingle with people with no serious strings attached. I met this guy that wants to hook up and I want the same, we both understand what we want , nothing serious just someone to hang with and occasionally hook up with. This would be my first time hooking up with someone and I just want to know the run down of hook ups, the rules etc. Feedback would be great, thanks!
