My boyfriend and I were at Babies R Us and Target, registering for our bbyshower. He wanted to scan one of those little kid-leashes. the ones that are attacked to a backpack with some kind of animal on it. I stopped him and told him not to scan. I said I didn't want one of those.

His logic-

•if you go to a mall, amusement park, zoo etc, you won't lose your kid.

•little kids like to run off.

•he just thinks they're a great idea to keep your child close at all times.

My logic-

•not all little kids run off and run away.

•I will teach my child not to run away from me, I'll teach him to behave in public.

•if im not physically holding him, or he's not in the stroller, he'll be right by my side or another adults side.

•they're just really weird to me.
