Should I see a doctor? HELP!

Sarina

I'm pretty regular but 3 years ago I had a few bad months of being irregular (skipping a month, light dark periods). But My doctor put me on birth control for a few months and I got back on track and stopped the burth control after just 4 months.

This was over 3years ago.

Fast forward to now and last May I totally skipped a whole month and then in July I skipped another full month. My cycles average 27-30 but these 2 months it lasted 54 days each!

We are trying for baby #1 for over a year now and no luck. I am 37 and overweight but I work out and eat healthy and I am trying to lose weight but its just so slow!

So should I see a doctor? What should I expect from the visit? Do you think I am a candidate for clomid? I am worried I am not ovulating since I am skipping a whole month and no luck getting pregnant yet.

I also don't want to go the IVF route yet if I can find and try another route first.
