After IVF: reason for 'no sex' warning for 12 wks?

It seems like the majority of posts I've seen on the guidance after a BFP is no sex for the first trimester. Anyone know why? General guidance is that it's safe, but I know us IVFers are 'extra special' (read: high risk🙄). Just not sure the biological reasoning since orgasm contractions are different than labor contractions in the uterus. 
Any insight or experience one way or the other?

We had our first successful round of IVF in January and we were NOT instructed to abstain from sex at all. We were told not to let myself over heat ie dont go out for a run in 40 degrees but sex was fine. Our specialist was very shocked at all the guidelines the internet gives people, although we are having help its something humans have done for centuries and they never stopped having sex, dont wee after transfer, wear socks to bed to keep thier uterus warm or avoid peas cos its a contraceptive lol it all comes down to logic 😊

Our instructions were 4-5 days post transfer and we have had sex with no issues 😊 but every place is different

It's so that the hormones that you are placing in there for the lining stays put.  Sex would make some come out and then your lining would not be as thick.  I had sex after my transfer thinking what could the harm really be and I lost the embryos the next morning.

I think it's to not disrupt the lining.
