Long distance relationship advice?

ashley

You could technically say I'm in an 'LDR' relationship but we just both live in different cities about 20-30 min away from each other. We have been together for a year and a half, now we are back to school..which means I can barely see him because now I am in my junior year so I'm going to be quite busy. He IS able to come to my city though, but the problem is that my mom doesn't know about us, she's pretty serious about dating. So him coming to my house is a risk. I don't want her to know about him yet because she's going to say that he will interfere with school etc.

We happen to argue a lot, but usually just over small things and the next day we pretty much forget about it. I feel like I have no self control, I happen to overreact a lot and make the arguments worse. We notice that if we don't see each other, we will have problems and it'll feel like we're pushing each other away. I get that we shouldn't break up over little arguments because I do know that arguments are normal in relationships. We don't want to lose each other. Sometimes I feel like a break would be nice, but I'm just afraid if that's going to create distance.

I just want some advice on how I can save my relationship if it all falls apart again. Thanks guys! 😊
