Do you feel like love has different meanings? (Within an a relationship)

I believe there is more than one meaning. No matter who I talk to, they always have a different way of describing what love means to them. To me love is something between partners that is so strong, and compassionate, you know the feeling right away, not like love at first sight, but when you know the person emotionally and intellectually. I fell in love looking at him smiling, holding my hand, and talking about us. 🙂

love means and can be different things towards different people, and are usually different depending on what stage of life that you're in. I love my significant other, and I love my son. But they're two different loves. I love my significant other, but I also felt like I loveda the significant other before him at that time. Not that one was less than the other necessarily, they were just different.

I believe that love itself is constant and there are not different meanings, however there are different perceptions of it which set each individuals expectations of love if that makes sense?

I mean you obviously love your family members in a different way than your SO, but I think a problem people have is knowing the difference between infatuation and actual love, especially when you're young and lack experience in relationships and are still maturing and developing..
