Can people get better at sex?

Is sex supposed to come naturally between two people? In the past, I've had both good and bad sex. With my current boyfriend... it's average. But I want it to be GOOD, if I'm going to spend the rest of my life with him. I've never had to really teach anyone to be better at sex. All the bad encounters were one night stands. Does anyone have any experience with improving their sex life? Can it really happen or are some people just not sexually compatible?

Yes it can. When I first met my SO, the sex was terrible. Like not bad. TERRIBLE. And now it's the best sex I ever had. Once he gets to understand better what you like and what you dislike, it will get better. Communicate about your desires and feelings to him!

Definitely! talk about what both of you like and be very vocal during sex. When he's doing something you like say things like "wow that feels so amazing" or "I love when you do xxx to me." it's kind of like training him...

Yes it can get better over time. When my husband and I were dating it was amazing. Then we moved in together and it was kinda boring. We are working to get it back to amazing. You have to tell him what you like and don't. I was afraid at first because I didn't want to hurt his feelings or make him think I wasn't happy with him sexually. but to my surprise he is eager to learn. We have been together 6 years and are still leaning each other's bodies.
