If you are a religious person (doesn't matter what), would you be friends with someone who is an atheist?

I've started to notice that most of my friends are atheists, and while I have been a Christian for a long time, I've become stronger in my faith more recently and a few of my friends have mentioned that and how they don't believe it. I have no problem with it, but I want to know other's thoughts. 
(They have never put me down for my religion either)

I voted depends because my answer will change for every person. If the person can respect my beliefs as I respect theirs then there is no reason why we can't be friends.
I've met people who were just constantly negative. Any time I'd mention any activities that have to do with religion the person would talk under their breathe and roll their eyes etc. so I stopped talking about anything religion.. even when asked what I was doing later I'd just say I was busy if it had to do with religion. But then... anytime we had a disagreement the person would say oh yea why don't you go pray to your God about it or please what do you know you believe in something you can't even see or something else to belittle me....
So it depends.

Me and my husband are both athiests. and let me just tell you we are the most 100% no bullshit, trust worthy, realest, un-judgmental you will ever meet. If you don't wanna be friends with us, you're loss.

Of course I'd be friends with atheists! They don't change the fact that I have faith in the only true God and His death and resurrection for my sins. And besides, God loves them too. Why should I say, " oh no, we can't be friends because you don't.l believe in God like me"??? 1. Rude. 2. Not the way a Christian is called to live.

I have been friends with and have even dated atheists. The only reason there was no dissent was because we weren't trying to convert each other and we weren't aggressive. My longest running friendship has recently come to a bit of an awkward stage, though, because I converted to the most complex and organic form of Christianity there is (the original faith, unaltered) and she left Roman Catholicism for agnosticism and has admitted to contemplating atheism. We aren't angry with each other, but it makes discussing theology a bit of a sore spot. But we are able to put it aside and continue to love each other.

one of my closest friends is an atheist. I answer her questions about my religion, she answers my question about atheism. neither of us try to pressure each other and it works out great.

As long as they don't put you down for your religion I don't see a problem with it. 
Personally, every atheist and agnostic person I've met in my city have been just as obnoxious as Christians towards my religion. So I tread lightly with both groups.
