how long does your baby nap for?

hello, my little girl turned 5 months tuesday and lately she only sleeps about 15/20 minutes at a time and is the lightest sleeper. this is during the day for her naps. night time no issue. i just wish shed sleep longer so i can nap. by the time i can sit down to nap shes waking up. how old is your little one and how long are they napping for?

4 months 1 week and naps for 1 hr in the morning. then 2-2.5 hrs afternoon and then 30-50 min in evening.  
sometimes tho he switches noon and evening nap lengths and will do his longer nap later. he's a light sleeper at times too. we use a white noise app for naps and bedtime.

mine goes anywhere from 30 minutes to 45 to 1 hr maybe 1.5 hrs, he is always changing

I'm just starting the Little Ones Sleep Program and they recommend sleeping baby in a pitch black room (or as dark as you can get it during day time) with loud white noise playing for the duration of the sleep. Have you tried that? It might help? I've found it's definitely made a difference for my little girl the last few days we've been doing it. She previously only really slept about half an hour at a time but now she's doing 1.5-2hr lunch naps (:

My 4 month old varies from 30 minutes to 2.5 hrs. She usually takes at least one 1-hr or longer nap a day and several smaller naps. I think the white noise and darkened room help.

4 months old and naps for 45mins x 3 a day. Kinda frustrating but he sleeps well at night so it must be ok for now.

My LO is about 19 weeks and he takes shorter naps around 20-30 min usually, we jus started sleep training last week so I set him in crib awake. Sometimes he'll nap a little longer, but not usually. If I take a nap with him on bed he'll sleep for 1-2 hours

My daughter will sleep on me but i get numb so i move around and she will wake up quick, she doesnt sleep long in the day but at night she sleeps all night and if she does wake up only one time.

I go buy total sleep amounts for day and night sleep on the baby sleep site. All babies are different. But I have read 20-30 minutes is interrupted sleep. Sleep cycles for babies are usually between 30-50 minutes and after 4 months sleep is supposed to consolidate. I agree with dark room and white noise. You'd be surprised at how loud white noise can be and that babies like it. My son's white noise is super loud. We have had friends over loudly playing card games outside his room (in the kitchen) and he hasn't woken up because of the white noise machine.
