Previous shoulder dystocia?

Hi ladies, do any of you have experience with shoulder dystocia? My first pregnancy and birth was a breeze except for retained placenta. My second was very traumatic. The epidural failed twice, I didn't dilate fully, her head was slightly stuck, shoulder dystocia occurred but they were thankfully able to get her out...on top of that her cord snapped and she has to be resuscitated. I was torn so badly that it was painful to have sex for an entire year. Here I am pregnant again 5 years later and I'm wondering if my obgyn will offer me a c section due to the previous birth. To be honest, I'm terrified. If you've had experience with birth vaginally or c section after shoulder dystocia, I'd love to hear your experiences and recommendations!
