Do you always pump after EBF to maintain supply all day?

I exclusively BF my lo and I am not sure if I am supposed to pump after every nursing session. I nurse on 1 side at a time becuase i have always had an over supply when i ep. Lo is almost 4 months,but  I have only been ebf since 2 months. I was an EP until he could nurse full time after getting his ptt fixed. Now I only pump 1-2x  a day when I make most milk. Other than that he feeds, but I have noticed he doesn't seem as satisfied during my afternoon early evening nursing sessions. Could this be becuase I am not pumping or is this normal. He was a big baby almost 9lbs and at 3.5 months he was 15 lbs. We go for his 4 month on friday. When he does drink for a bottle it is never more than 3 ounces and averages about 2.5? Is this normal for a usually ebf baby?

Pumping isn't necessary unless you want to do it. Breastfeeding is supply and demand. Your supply will stay as it is demanded. Your baby removes milk more effectively than the pump. Pumping as well as nursing will tell your body to make more milk than the child needs. If you want to cut out bottles out can. There's really no need to pump unless you want the child to have a bottle or you're working or whatever. More than likely it's easier for the child to bottle feed so they're showing a bottle preference and it's making you worry.

This is the feeding chart for babies by age. My son is 7 months old EBF and I never pump. At 4 months we started baby foods and cereal so that should help once you get the approval for that.

The great thing about breastfeeding is that the baby is in control always. Once baby feeds and is full they will either go to sleep or pop off and be finished. You don't have to worry, just feed your baby and relax! Also that chart posted before does not lool like it's for an EBF baby. My daughter rarely was given bottles and the last time I think she was 3 or 4 months and she only drank 2.5 ounces maybe three. The difference between using bottles is that it's easier so therefore babies over feed. There are instances where some kids eat alot but more than likely the fast flow coupled with not pace feeding gives the result of 3month old babies that eat 4 or 6 ounces every feed. Anyways just don't worry to much, if they seem irritable even after eating they might just be going through a developmental leap. Goodluck!
