How do you forgive your cheating partner?

How do you forgive your boyfriend who emotionally cheated on you (messaged other girls)?
I love him way too much to let him go but he's been lying and cheating on me.
How do we work through this? How am I supposed to trust him and believe anything he says now? All my trust for him is gone because he has lied to me way too much.
I want him to change and be a better person. How do we do that?

ummmm you don't. you have dignity and you leave. you change your number and block him on every social media site on the world. you cry (i wouldnt) hang out with your girls. get fldressed up and take selfies. 😂 thats what you do. what you dont do is allow someone to walk all over you and play you for some type of idiot. you dont allow someone to sleep with you, tell you one thing but do the complete opposite. its called having low self esteem and being an enabler. you love him? love what? his disrespect and lies? since he has been lying nothing hes said or done has been ginuine with you. if you start accepting this now youll be a doormat forever. you can forgive him. thats cool. but id let him know I forgive him but that Im done. that there are plenty of men in the world and that as much as I care for him I deserve better. unless you dont think you do. from here on out you'll never trust him. youll question everything and drive yourself crazy. thats not fair to yourself, your future, your peace of mind or sanity. you get one life. you wanna spend it constantly working on someone elses issues? instead of living and loving your life, meeting new ppl, traveling and building your career? go rt on ahead. itll be years wasyed!!! the only one who can change the heart and true heartless intentions of a man is God. nothing you can do. you cant sex him good enough, buy him enough gifts, dress cute enough or anything. a man has to be able to look at himself and get disgusted and WANT to change. i personally wouldn't be that guinea pig until he does get it rt.  because truth be told this isnt the last time he'll be caught doing something but it would be the last time I catch him  because Id be done with him. 😘 goodluck

I'm sick of seeing comments on these type of posts calling the women idiots, enablers, weak, people will low self esteem and doormats. Sounds like blaming the victim to me. Person just had their world shattered and now people making them feel like shit about themselves. Don't kid yourselves, comments like that hurt. Even if you do believe those things do you really have to say them? Way to kick someone when they are down.

i went through the same thing with my husband and it can be done. it took a lot of time and I went through the stages of grief on a loop. he saw how much the whole thing had shattered my trust in hin and hurt me and angered me. because he loved me, he was hurting too, which did make me feel sad but i did not know what else to do but be angry or sad. he said he had talked to those girls bcs he felt inexperienced and wanted to get better at sex w me and had no intention of sleepinf w them. in the end, him confronting his pride in this area and other areas is what made me decide to stay. he has changed for the best, though I doubt I will ever trust 100% again.

Been there done that. And if you can TRULY forgive him then go ahead and stay with him.but when you get in fights don't bring it up as a case to win. If you won't be able to trust him when he goes out or is sketchy around his phone and you have a gut feeling of wrong don't take him back. They say after six months things are supposed to get better. If after a year you haven't Gained  his trust anymore then leave him. Cuz it will eat at you everyday. I did this to myself and it was the biggest mistake ever. All it did was end up pushing him away and eventually cheating again so he basically it was "your accusing me of this shit fine might as well make it true". But if y'all are young take this as a lesson. Your both young and can have an amazing life with someone else. And have a clean slate with someone who will be able to treat you right.i thought after leaving my bf I'd be alone forever but sure enough out of no where I was swept off my feet by a guy who was TEN TIMES what my ex was. But then again if you want it to work out,one word. THERAPY. But this only works if you both want it to work

I'm sorry you have to go through this. You must love him dearly, yet his unfaithfulness is making you question your relationship. 
Personally, forgiveness just happens on its own time, as well as acceptance. However, its what you do after that matters. But its also important that you don't rush yourself with the process. 
Speak to someone if you need to. 
I've been there and hell, was it emotionally exhausting. 
From my perspective, I'll never give a cheater a second chance. Sure, I'll forgive, but I know my self worth and I am not settling for less than what I deserve. 
I hope you make a decision that'll make you happy in the end.

If BOTH if you want to work on this and move on then you need to make sure that you really try and do that. No reminding him too much of what he did. And as for him he needs to cut off all ties with the other girl or girls and never talk to anyone else again. He needs to really show you that he loves you and only you.
