Tooth pulled ?

So I have an extremely bad tooth that need to be pulled asap, no other way to fix. My dentist said I need to clear with my doctor before he can do it, so my question is how many of you have had a tooth pulled or other kinda big dental work done while pregnant? Did you also have to et cleared by your doctor? What did they say about it?

I had a horrible toothache which turned out to be an abscess that was starting to form under my tooth and at the time I was 35 weeks pregnant and now I'm 38 weeks my doctor had to clear me to be treated the same day I went to the dentist so he cleared me because of how well my pregnancy had been and they didn't want me putting that pain and stress on the baby and so they pulled the tooth for me I was prescribed hydrocodon 500mg to help me sleep as well as with pain and amoxicillin to clear any infection I was back to normal within like 2 days and my son is doing fine now if they give you hydrocodon for pain don't be afraid if you don't feel your baby move as much it's only because they will be doped up and just as drowsy as you

I just had a root canal done about 3 weeks ago at 16 weeks. Baby is just fine but my dentist would not do procedure without OK from my OB. Better safe than sorry. Don't want to get an infection!

I had two wisdom teeth pulled while pregnant. My dentist would've done it no matter what because I was in intense pain, but my ob sent a letter over for my care.

I had a tooth pulled at 29 weeks when I was pregnant with my son. I went to an emergency dentist and they didn't make me clear it with my doctor 1st. I was losing weight from not being able to eat and the only other option was antibiotics until after I had the baby. That was too long to be on antibiotics.
