How long ?

How long were you engaged before your wedding ? 
I got engaged in 8.16.17 and basically a week later started planning my wedding for November of this year. 
We have been together for a little over 9 years and we both are so ready to be married. It's not going to be traditional , no ceremony just eloping then having a party with friends and family. 
Did anyone else do things quickly ??

My wife and I got engaged after dating 4 months...pretty fast, I know. Lol We got married 2 months after.

We got engaged April 2005 and got married September 2005. We had been together 3 years before we got married, so we knew what we wanted, just had to put it into motion.

Been engaged for almost 2.5 years.. no wedding planning as of yet, we both want to finish college first. Plus, weddings are expensive and we both need to be in better financial situations.

We started dating in March, got engaged in August, started planning in October and married in December 2016. It was fast but we only had about 40 people attend. 
It can be hard at times but you could definitely pull off a November wedding, especially something simple.

We were engaged 9/29/16 (our Birthday) and got married 5/20/17 - so engaged for 8months. We waited until May because we wanted to get married in the Spring, and chose that particular  date because the location fee jumped from $7,500 to $15,000 if we chose the following weekend through October!
Lots of wedding venues are so popular that there's a 6+ month wait. If you want to get married sooner and your venue is available, then go for it!! It's your Wedding! Congrats!

We were just over a year but if you've been together awhile and/or having a small ceremony I don't see any reason to drag it out!

We had a 4 month engagement! I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I did everything the way I wanted it and went with a venue that had everything I needed. I wanted to elope in Hawaii and have a Luau at home as a reception, but his family said they'd pay if we had a ceremony everyone could attend.  So happy we didn't have a long engagement.
