When was the first time u went to a gynaecologist? And how old were u? And what was it like?

I was 17, my mom was with me, all we did was talk, but I was not sexually active. He was great and helped me get my pcos under control and I was always comfortable with him. When the time came to do any type of an exam of my mom was not with me he would bring in a female nurse.

18. I had to go because I was being tested for PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). They do a blood test (same way they draw blood from your arm). I also had to have an ultrasound done to see if there were any cysts. I don't remember the order all this I've said was done since this was last year. But the worst part was probably the ultrasound. The tech was chill and nice, and at first I kinda enjoyed it. She did the ultrasound that goes over your stomach/uterus area. I watched everything on the screen. I've had a small obsession with human anatomy since I was a kid, so I was all about this.....until she did the ultrasound that goes inside. There's this thing she puts in your vagina that does the ultrasound that way too, so you can see the top. It. Was. Awful. She barely put the thing in and I lost my crap. It felt absolutely awful down there for probably a week. I have a latex allergy and I'm pretty sure she put a latex cover on it. I've been told that they use condoms, and that had to of been a latex condom. So pro tip: try to masturbate before you go to the OB-GYN. But be gentle and don't do too much. Just enough to chill you out.

You can see a gyno at any age however they won't do any tests like pap or cervical swab until your 21..I've yet to go and I'm 20 next year tho I have to go, if something feels wrong then go, also i heard it's not that bad of an experience
