anyone allergic to progesterone?!

so my progesterone levels were low in my blood so my dr prescribed me just that. well 4 days into it i start itching all over my body and then red welts and hives all over as well! hubby rushes me to e.r they hook me up to benadryl, saline, pepcid, and steriods! has this unfortunately happen to any of you? and i see my dr tomorrow to see my options but what could i take now to help with placenta growth?

it is probably an inactive ingredient. you body produces progesterone naturally..

Me!! But now I take half a zyrtec pill in the morning? wait about 30 min then i take the progesterone pills

Yes! I had to take progesterone vaginally post IUI. I broke out down there in oozing, bloody welts! Unfortunately because I had already had my IUI the only relief the ER could give was a numbing cream. It was awful and I refused to use it again! Fast forwarded 6 years later and I conceived naturally and have a beautiful 14 month old daughter and I'm 15 weeks pregnant. Horrible experience!
