Help! Is this normal?!

I have this weird boil-looking thing on top of my helix peircing that I got a few weeks ago... Is this normal? And if not what can I do to get rid of it?? I've cleaned it properly with non-idolized sea salt twice a day and have left it alone as I have been told to (no touch or twisting).

There's a pinned post at the top of this group called "keloids & hypertrophic scarring; the difference" (or something of that variation)
It has pictures and what to do. People misdiagnose keloids ALL the time. Keloids are quite rare. And the size and look of it right now indicates it's most likely a hypertrophic. They're VERY VERY common!
It's caused by irritation. Maybe try a saline solution bought from the drug store. You could just be mixing the wrong quantities of water and salt. Also check the metal your ring is made of, as sometimes the type can cause irritation. If that's the reason switch to implant grade titanium. Another thing could be the fact you were pierced with a ring. Piercings don't much like rings because they move around and shit.
So I'd suggest going in and getting a piercer to change it to a stud. Do NOT do it at home. 🙃

Normal, had it on my nose piercing and my tragus just crush asprin with a hint of water to make a paste, put it on and leave it overnight along with cleaning it everyday it should go away in 3-4 days

That happened to mine as well. It's just irritated. wash it with salt water twice a day and put healing ointment on it. It takes a while to heal but dont touch it with dirty hands either
