Intercourse without protection.

So I gave my boyfriend a blow job, then he came and we did that whole thing. Then after that we had sex without protection but he pulled out. I'm also about to start my period in a few days. Are we safe? I wasn't sure if I wasn't cause live sperm can live in the precum, right?
