Can you get pregnant & still get your period?

My period was 5 days late last week.. and I was wondering if you can still get your period and be pregnant? A coworker told me this happens to his wife! And I was just wondering.

Eh..  Yes you can be pregnant and have a period. the hormone levels in your body are what stop your period so if your levels arnt high enough you don't miss a period however given you were late then started I'm assuming it isn't happening to you. That would mean your levels where high enough to stop the period then dropped. Your probably not pregnant
