IUD Strings Really Low

I literally went to my check-up on Thursday, last week, and my nurse said everything was perfect. She said I was actually doing better than most women with my IUD!

My cramps have gone away almost completely, and my spotting seems to be stopping (yay!!), but yesterday and today I've noticed that my strings are very low and so is my cervix, I believe. I felt up and didn't seem to feel any hard plastic, but I did feel the hardness of my cervix, I'm assuming.

Is my IUD expelling or is my uterus just low?

I expect my period in 16 days.
