Any other SAHMs still doing no TV??

What are you filling your time with?? Rainy day here!

No TV here. I have bought little people items and he loves that. We do play dough, stickers, we dance, blocks, big legos. I do a different activity with him such as putting cards into a slit or hole, sorting little puff balls by colors, putting pipe cleaners in and out of a colander. He loves to color or paint. Dollar store is the best to find little things to do.

My daughter has been watching tv since she was 6 months old. Either she is just very very smart or the TV is helping her learn. She is counting to 3, saying TONS more words than her older cousin, forming 2-3 word sentences, pointing to pictures and telling me what they are in books, and it gives this momma some rest and time to make dinner after a 12 hour workday! She's 16 months now and I feel TV has benefited her (and me!), not damaged her in any way at all. The TV will be on and she decides if she wants to watch it or if she would rather play with her books and blocks. I'd say she only actually "watches" it for about an hour or two each day total.

I'm not a SAHM but i only work part time and the tv is always on at the house sometimes kid shows sometimes not. My 16 month old is saying around 20-25 words I don't think the tv has harmed her learning or playing at all

Not a SAHM but I usually allow one show a day. Typically Mickey Mouse Club or Tex The Tractor. Sometimes I’ll put it on animal planet just because she gets excited to see animals.

Why are you doing no tv?? My son plays as well as watch tv. I see that he is learning a lot from watching it. It stays on the Sprout channel.  We also go outside and I play with him throughout the day. I am only asking because I'm curious.  No judgment. 😆

I recently found out a show on YouTube.  Dave&Ava. It had abc, 123, colors and nursery songs.  My son loves it and my nephew, 21 months, is already saying his abc's. My son interact with the tv and does the sounds.  I believe this is good for their age

Do a lot of YouTube and Sprout Tv. Honestly it's benefited my little girl. She dances, knows the whole routine of songs and  mumble sings it back to me. Its awesome. Look up one little finger super simple songs on YouTube.

I don't have TV- so no watching for me or for my son who is 16 months. We read a lot like A LOT, dance to music, play- often times with non toy items like yogurt containers and balls or pots and pans, walk outside, color with chalk, and ride his scoot bike. Sometimes I show him videos of himself on my phone, which he loves! But that's the only screen time he gets.

We don't don't do TV either for no particular reason. 
But we generally head to the park, play in the backyard, read books, draw, dance, and just play with toys. 
We head out of the house. Once to the library that runs a toddler time, once to swimming and once to my MILs house. The other days is just putting her in the pram and heading out for a walk.
