can i refuse the date they gave me to be induced??

my due date is September 4th and my doctor told me they wouldn't induce me until September 11th...i really don't want to go a week over my due date bcuz I have big baby's my last two were both 8 pounds 10 oz. so my question is do i just have to deal with wht date they give me?? no rude comments please.

Waiting until 41 weeks is quite standard for inductions that aren't medically necessary. Hopefully your little one makes an appearance before then!

Chances are if this is your first baby you would deliver until the 12th anyway. Inductions take some time.

I told my doctor that I won't have this baby on the 11th. My husband and I are both in the army and I just have an issue with making that day a "good" day. I know this doesn't help with maybe getting in earlier but my doctor is the same way. They won't even talk about it until 41 weeks. My due date is the 9th and I have an appointment on the 12 in case I don't have her by then to schedule my induction

If their policy is 41 weeks at the earliest, then yea. You can try to request earlier, but it seems like they are going by what is medically relevant. That is more important.
