Would scan show pregnancy?

I had a pelvic ultrasound done in my tummy (not vaginal) and they where looking for a cause of pelvic pain eg cysts, bladder/kidney problems nothing what put on my report.

I had this done 6 weeks after I last had sex and immediately had symptoms (frequent urination, sore back, pelvic pain and pressure) I had sex every few days before this point as well. If I was to have gotten pregnant (I'm on the pill, take it correctly, used a condom) I know chances are very small but would there have been some indication of pregnancy. I got my period on its due date and a negative test but still have no indication of my symptoms.

If I was pregnant would something be seen on a pelvic scan? I know it's hard to see anything if it is not vaginal at an early stage (this is why I'm asking, if it was done vaginally I would know for sure that I wasn't)
