Am I Being Selfish with My Sons Photos?

Question

My hubby takes TONS of pics of our son, which I have no problem with. I do however, have an issue with him sending everyone in his family EVERY.SINGLE.PICTURE he sends! He sends pictures and videos to his parents, aunties, uncles, cousins...Everyday. Am I being selfish? I told him that I want to keep most of those pictures to ourselves. Please comment and tell me your reasoning! Maybe I can explain it to my husband and get it through his skull!

It's one thing for him to share pictures with them, it's another for them to post it on their social medias - but that wasn't clarified in the poll question. It's selfish not to share pictures and memories with them. But it's not selfish if you want you don't want pictures of him posted online unless you are the one deciding when/where to post them; you are his mom and have that right. If the issue is them re-sharing the pictures online then you should explain to his family your concerns and clearly say, "do not post without my permission, please." Or something like that.

I'm not understanding why you have a problem with it. I could see if he was sending it to strangers but it's his family, I don't see anything wrong with that

my family and in laws always asks before posting anything that i haven't posted. He needs to make it clear to them that the pictures are for their eyes and if they want to share, they need permission. Him sharing the pictures is not the issue. them posting it is the issue. your post made it seem like you were mad he was sending pictures. but it doesnt seem like that is the real issue. just clear up some things amd you should be all good. but one piece of advise, let him deal with his family, you dont want to be the bad guy. couples should deal with their resective families. it jusy works better that way. :)

There's nothing wrong with sharing pictures with family but I understand where you're coming from, he's your baby and want some of those pictures to be special and to stay with yourself and your husband, you're not being selfish and not letting family see him at all so there's nothing wrong with how you're feeling
