Is "de-barking" animal abuse?
Recently a judge ruled that a couple in Oregon must "de-bark" their dogs essentially cutting their vocal cords to lessen the sound, or completely take away their ability to bark. This came about because a neighbor sued them over $200,000 for the excessive barking. This practice is only illegal in 6 states. Do you think this is animal abuse? Do you think they could have tried alternative means before this last resort? I think it's inhumane and should be illegal across the country. I rather they demand rehoming or other alternatives before this, I just don't know what.
